Chashushuli

Ingredients 👩🍳️

Beef or veal 1 kg

Tomatoes (can be in their own juice) 0.5 kg

Onion 2 large heads

Garlic 4 cloves

Cilantro, parsley , basil

Preparation 👩🍳️

Cut the meat into medium pieces and put it in a deep bowl. Cut the onion into large half rings . 🌀Add it to a bowl with meat, squeezing it with your hands so that the onion will release the juice 👌add a tablespoon of adjika. Mix everything well and leave to marinate for 30 minutes. Preheat a deep frying pan and spread the meat. Add water to the meat – it should not cover it and put it to stew under a closed lid over low heat. The meat needs to be stirred from time to time. If all the water boils away, you can add a little hot water. 💧 add salt and spices . After the meat is stewed for about 30 minutes, add the mashed tomatoes without skin! The meat should be stewed in tomato juice for another 30-40 minutes, until fully cooked!if there is not enough liquid, add water. 👩🍳️ 10 minutes before the end, add garlic and herbs🌱
