Georgian walnut sauce baghe

Ideal as a gravy for chicken and fish 🐟🐓

Our spices that you will need for cooking : suneli hops, dried cilantro, Imeretian saffron, chili🌶

Ingredients

Walnuts 250 g

Garlic 2 cloves

Wine vinegar

Preparation

Chop the walnuts very finely with a blender. Add chopped garlic, spices and salt to the nut mass.🍥

The mass should be mixed well, but not with a spoon, but with your hands. Many housewives in Georgia knead ground nuts and squeeze out nut butter from them, which is collected in a separate bowl, then pour this oil over the baghe sauce when served (dry nut mass becomes greasy and moist when kneaded with hands for 5 minutes, and secretes nut oil). 💧

The nut mass with spices is diluted with boiled water to the desired consistency. Add wine vinegar to taste.
